This paper summarizes the advanced technology of reverse osmosis desalination with energy recovery, and its situation of application in our country; discusses the features of the device, such as the rate of energy recovery, mixtion, lubrication, flexibility etc; and analyzes the influence of the system configuration and the energy consumption about using the different energy recovery devices.
