Compared with land exploration, marine exploration is confronted with such technical challenges as acquiring geoelectrical signals in liquid environment, setting the prospecting device automatically in the ocean and picking the instrument up safely from the sea.Several solutions to these problems were working out, that is,geoelectrical field sensor and flexible measure arms which were suitable for marine environment and the acoustic control system which controls remotely the sink and float of the instrument.Primary marine prospecting experiments show that these solutions are effective and reliable.
