Application of Color Image Segmentation to Video Tracing System

In video tracing system,image segmentation plays an important role in the task of tracing.All the tracing task is based on image segmentation.The combined algorithm that changes thresholding based on histogram into thresholding based on H in HSI color space and selects the pixels according to its R,G,B value,before thresholding;Three kinds of algorithms in image segmentation were analyzed by testing,including K-mean clustering based on RGB color space proposed by Liju Dong,etc,thresholding based on histogram and the hybrid algorithm.Each one was used in segmenting color image to get the object.The most efficient one was selected for some video tracing system,with experie-mental results being compared.A conclision was drawn that an optimum algorithm,i.e,hybrid algorithm was ideal and able to segment objects,which really did preparation prior to the tracing task.
