Design and Implementation of GPS Mobile Data Collection Terminal and Water Quality Monitoring System in the Middle Route of South-to-North Water Diversion Project

In order to meet the need of water quality monitoring in the Middle Route of South-to-North Water Diversion Project,the functional requirements of the GPS(Globle Position System) mobile data collection terminal and the data processing system were proposed.The RESTfull solution of communication protocol between the data processing system and monitoring terminal was designed.We selected the smart phone platform to implement the GPS mobile data collection terminal,and use Ruby On Rails framework combined with GIS(Geographic Information System) to achieve the data processing system.
