Design and implementation of XML-based project cost management system

This paper studied the eXtensible Markup Language(XML) technology in combination with other programming languages to implement XML-based integration of heterogeneous data sources and used XML applications Scalable Vector Graphics(SVG),Synchronized Multimedia Integration Language(SMIL) and Channel Definition Format(CDF) respectively to achieve vector charts,multimedia information publishing and Web broadcasting for the system of project cost management.Therefore the requirements of the users were met,such as wide range of heterogeneous data exchange,complex data display,and multimedia information release and book.
