Simulations of the Distribution Graphs of Current in Cylindrical Waveguide

LI Zun-ying · 2009

Based on the field distributions and boundary conditions in metal cylindrical waveguide, the mathematical expressions of current in the wall of the cylindrical waveguide have been deduced. The current of the distribution graphs, for various transverse electric fields or transverse magnetic field wave-modes have been simulated in MATLAB language. It is very easy to see that for TE modes the best slot is parallel to φ-axis at near φ= π/2, 3π/2 regions, but for TM modes the best slot is parallel to z-axis at the same regions to measure the electromagnetic fields closed in the cylindrical waveguide. And the simulations of the current of distribution graphs in cylindrical waveguide can supply some hands to create a calculator simulating the electromagnetic fields in regular metal waveguide.
