A new ratio-based selection adaptive subcarrier allocation algorithm

A new sub-optimal subcarrier allocation algorithm named ratio-based selection(RBS) was proposed based on some previous algorithms.In multi-user OFDM system,some frequently used sub-optimal allocation algorithms probably allocated subcarriers with deep fading to users according to the channel rule.However the RBS algorithm avoids this situation by allocating subcarriers according to the ratio which is equal to the best user's channel gain over the channel gain of the user next to the best one.Simulation result shows that RBS algorithm can obtain better performance with relatively lower computational complexity.
