Amplifier based on current-mode PWM control

Xu Ji · Electronic Components and Materials · 2015

A current amplifer based on current mode PWM(Pulse Width Modulation) control was proposed. The amplifier directly controlled the external inductor current peak value, indirectly controlled the PWM pulse width. The amplifier feedback circuit was used in voltage outerloop and inner current loop, which could ensure the controller transient current peak tracking error signal change, and the optimization design of the current sampling circuit has certain clamp function.Cadence Spectre simulation results show that the circuit gain is 3 V/V,the maximum input signal voltage at the phase terminal is 0.96 V,propagation delay is only 145.78 ns.Simulation tests show that the circuit fully meets the design requirements.
