Performance Analysis for WCDMA Up-link Using WMSA Channel Estimation Technique
Ron Hu · Journal of Circuits and Systems · 2000
Simulation has been conducted to investigate the performance of the up-link WCDMA channel in which pilot symbols in control channel is transmitted simultaneously with the data channel, and channel estimation is carried out using weighted multi-slot averaging. Simulation result indicates that in the process of channel estimation, number of slots and weighting factors should be selected in accordance with the fading environment of the channel under investigation. Based on the simulation result, analysis is focused on such issues as forward error correction (FEC) and how the number of RAKE fingers and average power difference between channel paths influence the up-link performance.
