Admission control based on bandwidth policy for ad hoc networks

Available bandwidth is an important parameter of wireless ad hoc networks for guaranteeing Qo S. Many approaches for estimating the available bandwidth of wireless networks are presented by many scholars, but no mechanism has been standardized because of many factors affecting the available bandwidth of wireless networks. The proposed approach called IIAB eliminates the consumption for available bandwidth through calculating the probability of conflict caused by hidden nodes. It establishes the IIAB model and uses the result to analyze the admission control and proposes a new IIAB-AODV protocol eventually. Through the simulation results, it is demonstrated that the model proposed in this paper can improve the accuracy of the estimation of the available bandwidth and the IIAB-AODV protocol can guarantee and improve the quality of the service of the network effectively.
