An Improved Method Based on Trafficked Area in Highway Vehicle Detection

There are more and more people pay attention to video vehicle speed detection in high way vehicle detection.And people usually take background subtraction to detect moving object,but when we take it into practice,this method can be easily influenced by circumstances,especially influenced by the vehicle from other ways and trees aside highway.This article pays attention to the lane feature,it detects the lane firstly,then detects the ROI and uses the ROI to take background subtraction,reaching the aim to decrease influence of circumstances.Our experiment justifies that this method can effectively decrease the influence of circumstances,and can detect vehicle in ROI exactly.
