Analysis of Semantic Fuzziness and Pragmatic Vagueness

This paper first makes a distinction between the concepts of semantic fuzziness and pragmatic vagueness,and points out what criteria can set them apart.Then it explores how speakers and listeners exert semantic fuzziness and pragmatic vagueness.The purpose of this paper is to make clear the dividing lines between semantic fuzziness and pragmatic vagueness and to attract readers' attention to pragmatic vagueness.
