An Improved SPIHT Algorithm Based on Standard Walsh Transform

SPIHT is deemed to one of the most advanced embedded zerotree coding algorithm in the field of image compress.Using the superiority of SPIHT algorithm and the character of Walsh transformation which makes the energy of matrix to the upper left.This paper presents an improved SPIHT algorithm based on standard Walsh transform.The emulational experimental results show that,the PSNR of this algorithm is greater than that of SPIHT on the same compression ratio.
