On consideration of 1∶50000 database update projects in China

The paper points out it is the brand-new task to update national 1∶50 000 database by adopting 1∶10 000 DLG to contract the compilation,illustrates all kinds of problems in the update process,and explores the problems in update and technological routine,so as to ensure the quality of the contracted update of 1∶50 000 database.
