The Performance of Multidimensional Turbo Product Codes with Single Parity Codes as Subcode

Turbo product codes are a kind of block codes,which can be decoded at high speed by hardware.By studying soft-in and soft-out iterative decoding algorithm of turbo product codes especially those with single parity codes as subcode,combined with QAM modulation,we give a joint demodulation and iterative decoding algorithm which is simple and easy to implement in hardware.Results of simulation show that performance of this simplified scheme of decoding over AWGN and fading channels is fairly good.
