The ways to select SPD in electric design of civil building were expounded through the selection of continuous operating voltage,residual voltage,discharge current capacity and alarm function so as to guarantee the continuous,steady and reliable operation of system.The selection of lightning arrester was introduced from the three aspects like voltage grade selection,transmission rate selection and interface type selection.It would provide reference to electric designer when selecting SPD.
