Epidemiology Analysis on Seasonality of Acute Myocardial Infarction

[Objective]To study the relationship between the attack characteristics of acute myocardial infarction(AMI)and seasons.[Methods]236 cases diagnosed with AMI in ward II of cardiology department in Beijing Friendship Hospital of Capital Medical University were investigated and analyzed for attack seasons.[Results]There were two peak periods of AMI,including November to January and February to April.[Conclusion]The AMI attack is related to weather,it mainly happens during season reversal and cold weather.Through understanding the occurrence regularity,the necessary prevention measures should be adopted to reduce the incidence of AMI.
