Experiment on the cuttage propagation of Pinus kesiya var.langbianensis

Wan Ru-wen · Journal of Fujian Forestry Science and Technology · 2007

The orthogonal design was employed in cutting propagation experiment of Pinus kesiya var.langbianensis treated with three different mediums, three different concentrations of different growth regulators and three kinds of cutting scions and planted in plastic bags. The result showed that three different cutting scions from different age mother trees and different positions were the key factors affecting the survival ratio. It has significant difference among three different cutting scions from different age mother trees and different positions, and the basal scions from one-year-old mother tree had the best effect on survival ratio. Also it had significant difference among the three media in survival ratio, and A2(sand:loosened top soil∶sawdust=1∶1∶1) was the best one.It had no significant difference among three different concentrations of growth regulators. The best combination was A2 medium,50×10-6 ABT1(soaked for 2hrs) and the basal scions from one-year-old mother tree.
