D-S evidence reasoning and its data fusion application in target recognition

Data fusion based on reasoning method is applied to resolve vehicle target recognition problems. The basic concepts and theory of Dempster Shafer evidence reasoning applied to data fusion are analyzed in detail. The method is applied to multisensor data fusion for vehicle target recognition. Experimental results show that the data fusion result is better than that of a single sensor and that the D S data fusion method is effective.
