Development of decision-making support system for dam safety monitoring

The authors pointed out that the decision support system for dam safety monitoring with high practicality should be oriented to the project safety issues, the imperfect observational data and the different requirements of potential users such as analysts, operators and safety officials. The procedures about how to complete automatically the dam safety evaluation by using the expert system techniques, including the pointwise quantification of the observational data, integrated analysis and automatic reasoning, were presented along demonstrations demos of their application in a large scale project.
