Research on the Virtual Storage Pool of Mass Storage System

Net RAID performance is greatly improved with the separation of command and data. Based on the achievements of Net RAID, this paper constructs a virtual storage pool, which make multiple physical storage devices (we use Net RAID here) transfer data through their network interface simultaneously. The system bandwidth is dynamically enhanced with system capacity and a new type mass storage system is constructed with virtual storage pool in place.
