MEMORY PERFORMANCE AND MULTI-LEVEL ALGORITHM OF ADDRESS TRANSFORMATION
Y Wang · Chinese Journal of Computers · 1983
This paper analyses the memory access rate, the memory bandwidth and the memory efficiency of interleaved memory systems both with prime number of memory modules and with 2n modules. With prime number modules, there will usually be some complications in memory access mechanism, a multi-level algorithm of address transformation is thus presented. With this new approach, the implementation of address transformation for most practical prime number modules becomes simple and easy. As an example of this algorithm, the address transformation of 5 modules is shown. This method of address transformation has been employed in 150-AP.
