A power-controlled topology-transparent scheduling algorithm in Ad Hoc networks was proposed.By discovering the number of neighbor nodes periodically, the algorithm could regulate transmitting power to improve the space efficiency and to decrease collisions. The extensive analysis and OPNET-based simulation results show that the proposed algorithm can improve average throughput and decrease transmit block greatly. In addition, the lifetime of the network can be increased by reducing the transmitting power.
