TCPW Performance Improvements Algorithm Based on the NS2

TCP Westwood(TCPW) and Vegas are enhancement algorithms of TCP New-Reno based on the measurement.Against ACK flow directly estimating available bandwidth,in the slow start and linear incremental part,TCPW still use the traditional blind growth mechanism of Reno,leading more retransmission.This article gives the algorithms principle analysis and an improved method,more precise measurement estimated bandwidth.Through the network simulation tools NS2,it obviously removes TCP synchronization of the overall situation,enhances network performance.
