Design and Analysis of Block Cipher Algorithm SWING

Ya Zhang · 2002

The new symmetric block cipher SWING which we put forward here is wholly performed by the state change of a shift register . We give the detailed encryption and decryption schemes and settings of some necessary parameters . By the cryptanalysis of key bit avalanche effect and plaintext bit avalanche effect , we show that SWING has remarkable properties on defending of some usual ways of cryptanalysis and attacks , such as linear and differential cryptanalysis , and related keys . Besides security , easy implementation and high speed of encryption and decryption , SWING has as well the feature of precision and simple structure which serves efficient confusion and diffusion .
