A Study of the Development of the Multipurpose E-Government Software Package Based on the GIS

Due to the cases and information in the processes of the office and decision-making of the government have the relationships to the geographic spatial position, the e-government system which is based on the geospatial data and GIS technology must be implemented and used. In this paper the functions, requirements and characters of the e-government based on GIS are first analyzed. Second, the problems related to the concept, design and development of the multipurpose e-government Software Package are deeply discussed. Third, the composition and application frame of the system are expressed. The geospatial data share platform and the construction of the thematic e-government systems are also researched and discussed in the paper. Finally, the situation of the applications of the multipurpose e-government Software Package are outlined.
