Pinus yunnanensis stand systems are distributed at the areas of north latitude 23°~29° and east longitude 98°30′~106°,and the altitude of 1 200 ~ 2 800 m,with the total area of 5,000,000 ha.It is the ecological area composed of many species. On the basis of explaining the ecological environment and growth process of Pinus yunnanensis stand, the structure and evolvement dynamics of stand system were studied by using the conception of dissipative structure theory. One hundred thirty one coordinate sequences indicated the development from primary stand to overmature stand on eight kinds of site grades were calculated. The results showed that Pinus yunnanensis stand had the characteristics of symmetric distribution, which indicated the mutual balance between Pinus yunnanensis stand system and ecological threshold. It was described that it was necessary for Pinus yunnanensis to conduct energy and substance transformation during the course of developed from primary stand to overmature stand, while the pure increment and death were a kind of promotion. The evolvement dynamics of Pinus yunnanensis stand system could be reflected by the process of individual degression ratio/volume increase ratio depicted by internal time T(): 3,4,5……32.
