Local Query Expansion Based on Synonyms

Based on synonymous relationship,a local query expansion method is presented which uses original query terms to implement first query and gets a result document set.Synonyms of original query terms are got from this set,and then to expand user query.Experimental results show that the performance of the expanded model is better than basic models.
