Evaluation Formula for Communication Network Node Importance
Zhang Xiao-jua · Journal of Northeastern University · 2014
Node importance evaluation based on removal of nodes and their incident links may change the topology of the netw ork. An improved node importance evaluation method w as proposed,in w hich the global importance is combined. The important nodes could be more accurately measured w ith the proposed method, especially in satellite netw orks. In the method, the importance of nodes are not only determined by its location in the netw ork,but also limited by the contribution of its neighboring nodes. The location of the node is determined by its betw eenness, and the contribution of the node is impacted by the betw eenness and closeness centrality of other nodes. The method w as compared w ith the node-removal based method in the analysis of advanced research project agency( ARPA) net topology. The results show ed that the node importance could be accurately represented by the proposed method.
