SIP is a IP telephone signal protocol introduced by IETF.In order to solve the signal control of IP network and the communication with Softswitch,it will conduct the next generation value-added service platform,and will supply telecommunication,bank, finance field with value-added service. Firstly,this paper introduces the function,character and structure of SIP, then introduces the application of SIP in IP phone value-added service.
