Study on Concatenated LDPC Codes with Bandwidth Efficient Modulation

An optimized decoding algorithm of LDPC codes is proposed to reduce the complexity. Irregular LDPC codes and series regular LDPC codes are used as inner codes and outer codes to reduce or even avoid errors floor. The serially concatenated LDPC codes is simulated and analysed in M-QAM modulation channel. The results show that its performance is better than RS,and it can ensure the effective utilization of bandwidth and the reliability of data transmission.
