Analysis on stress and moisture content during the drying process of larch in Russia

The paper studied and correlative analyzed the variable rules of wood shrinkage,drying stress and moisture content of 30mm thickness Larix gmelinii in Russia.The results showed: The coefficients of tangential shrinkage,radial shrinkage and shrinkage radio of tangential/radial of Larix gmelnii in Russia are smaller than that of Larix gmelinii in China.Larix gmelinii in China easily produced the defects of check and deformation than Larix gmelinii in Russia.The stress produced during the process of drying had a certain relation with moisture gradient,shrinkage,moisture and stress index.
