Bao Zhang · Jiliang xuebao · 2002

Basic Geographical Information Database is one of the most important basic space databases, which is significant to all aspects of the national development. Measurement and data sampling of the roads are key techniques for establishing the specific database. GPS (Global Positioning System), which has the advantages of worldwide use all day around, high precision and 3D positioning, can be used to accomplish the measurement and data sampling quickly. The differential GPS technique proves applicable and more advantageous by theoretical study and on line experiments.
