Continuous updating of fundamental geo-spatial data has become a hot topic as well as a tricky problem all over the world.At present there are three dominant updating models,the periodic updating, incremental updating and multi-scale linkage updating.Research is made on the definitions,updating methods,essential techniques,and unsolved problems of the three updating models,laying foundation for the improvement and innovation of continuous updating of fundamental geo-spatial information.
