Sorting Method of Multi-Contour Data for Section

Chained list method is proposed for the sorting of section’s multi-contour data in reverse engineering.The method is simple and efficient.The method includes rough sorting and accurate sorting.Firstly polar angles are calculated to sort roughly,and then the data is sorted accurately by establishing a chained list with accessing marks.Experimental results show that chained list method can sort efficiently for section’s simple contour data and multi-contour data.This will put the base for curve fitting and surface reconstruction in reverse engineering.
