Corpus Translation Studies:Connotations and Implications

This paper explores the connotations and implications of corpus translation studies based on the analysis of the status,features,research areas and implications of corpus translation studies.It is argued that corpus translation studies is not only a methodology but also a new paradigm which integrates linguistic and cultural approaches to translation studies.Its advent is of great implications for translation studies since it has revolutionized the methodology of translation studies and given impetus to the birth of a number of new areas of translation studies,such as critical translation studies,translator's style and features of translation in relation to language pairs.
