A Study of Routing Technology in Network-on-Chip

Network-on-Chip(NoC) meets the requirements of scalability,energy consumption,size,clock asynchronization,reusability,QoS etc in large-scale integrated circuits,and is a new innovation of the original design patterns. This paper discusses one of the most important technologies in Network-on-Chip,this is,the routing technology. The related packet switching technology,virtual channels technology and deadlock free technology are described and analyzed in detail,and defects comparisons of their merits and defects are carried out. Finally,a proper conclusion for Network-on-Chip routing technology is given.
