Qualitative Simulation (QS), which is a non-numeric measure, is employed to process inputting information, modeling, behaviors analysis and outputting results. The description of qualitative behaviors can be generated by qualitative modeling. QS makes it feasible to deal with incomplete information effectively. There are many genres about QS technology, such as fuzzy QS, reduction reasoning, non-causal reasoning, causal-based reasoning, diagram-based reasoning, structural data-based modeling and qualitative space-based reasoning. Recently, QS technology has been applied to varieties of fields such as fault diagnosis, ecological and environment, mechanic manufacture and industrial system, medical research, hybrid nonlinear system, education system, community, economy and AI. At last, a brief comment on the development of QS is given.
