Realization of RAID technology under solaris9

Raid is a kind of popular systematic I/O function of improvement and technology of dependability. It includes 7 different ranks such as RAID 0- RAID 6, etc. Different raid ranks represent different memory performance, security of the data and store the cost. How to utilize Sun Volume Manager tool to set up and manage magnetic disc RAID in solaris 9 was described. And according to practical experience, the recovery method, after a common RAID a realization step and system with RAID5 lose efficiency in providing and using, offered the powerful assurance for the high dependability of the server and incessant work.
