Wireless Sensor Networks(WSNs) are wireless networks that include sensor nodes with limited resources. For secure sensor communication, pairwise key establishment between sensor nodes is essential. In this paper, we propose a new pairwise key establishment mechanism. we cluster the network field in hexagonal shape and preassign key information for each sensor using deployment knowledge, and using the overlap key sharing (OKS) concept in spirit. Our proposal has a better resilience against node capture, efficiently decreases the memory requirement and supplies flexible security level.
