An Event-driven Query Model over Data Stream

This paper analyses the event semantic and features over data stream and builds an event-driven data stream model EQM. A query language named EQL with the function of event detection, event definition and event driven is proposed. Also, optimized approaches over event detection and query as well as relative efficiency evaluation and real-time issues are discussed. Experiments show the model would gain better performance than available data stream model and processing approach as far as event-relative problem is concerned.
