A Method to Solve TSP by Neural Network with Transient Chaos

A Neural Network with Transient Chaos(TCNN) can be used to solve the Traveling Salesman Problem(TSP).Compared with Hopfield neural network (HNN),TCNN would not get stuck in local minimum by introducing chaos which is generated by negative self-feedback into HNN. With a time-variant parameter to control the chaos,after going through a transient inverse bifurcation process TCNN gradually approaches to HNN and converges to a stable equilibrium point. Numerical simulation shows that TCNN has higher ability and efficiency of searching for global optimal to TSP than HNN.
