Study on improved genetic algorithms approach applied to singlelevel and multiple item uncapacitated lotsizing problem

Abstrcat Through analyzing the model of the singlelevel and multiple item uncapacitated lotsizing problem (SMULP) some important conclusions were founded.The standard GA′s flaw and its reasons were discussed.Compared with standard GA used to deal with the problem there are some improvements in such as code,fitness function,selection,crossover,mutation,and end condition.The improved GA of SMULP has been realized with VB6.0 so that the algorithm can be integrated with ERP software very well.The improved GA′s performance was also discussed.
