Study on Monitoring and Early Warning System of the Geological Disaster Prone Areas Based on the Smart Things Internet

The geological disasters such as landslidepresent themselves acharacteristic of highconcealment and destructive; easilycause the significant casualties and losses. Aimed at a number of loopholes which were existed in the monitoring methodsused by artificial gathering, this paperhas usedthe Internet of things technology and advanced wireless broadband communication technologytostudy on and design the remote wireless real-time monitoring and early warning system.The architecture of the above system and composition of the hardware and software were explained in this paper, with system's set up and realization to the geological disaster prone areas of Wuxi. The result shows that, regarding to the data gotten in real time in the spot of long distance monitoring, the system provides the necessary basis for geological hazard assessment and early warning.
