March Group Mobility Model for Ad Hoc Networks
Dan Wang · Microprocessors · 2009
A group mobility model-March Group Mobility Model, which matches the mobility of nodes in tactical Internet environment very well is proposed in this paper. The link availability of this model is derived as follows: Firstly, the distribution of the random mobility vector of a node with respect to another is calculated.Secondly, suppose that two mobility nodes move in constant direction, calculate the maximum of the random mobility vector when the two nodes are still within communication ranges of each other. Finally, calculate the link availability, namely, the probability that the module of the random mobility vector is less than the maximum Simulation results indicate that there is a better consistency between actual statistical link availability and theoretic link availability.
