Analysis on the Reasonability of Vagueness in News English from Pragmatic Perspective

it is known to all that accuracy and brevity are basic requirements for news language.However,vague language is very pervasive in our daily life.It seems impossible for us to describe this complicated nature and complex society only by using accurate words and expressions.In fact,vague language used correctly and appropriately does not decrease but increase the accuracy of news reporting,which can be illustrated and understood through its pragmatic functions from pragmatic perspective.
