Application of Fuzzy Logic and Genetic Algorithms in IIDS

As malicious intrusions into computer network system have become a growing problem , the need for accurately detecting these network intrusions has risen . At the same time , this need is promoting the development of theories and techniques of IDS system . This paper presents a prototype system of intelligent intrusion detection system(IIDS) , and irtroduces the structure and modules of the model system. It mainly studies the application of fuzzy logic and genetic algorithms when processing fuzzy rule matching and mining the patterns of intrusion behavior.
