GA-based Image Watermarking Using Subsampling

In order to improve the robustness of digital image watermaking method,genetic algorithm(GA)based watermarking scheme is proposed in the study.The algorithm subsamples the host image for embedding the watermark information respectively and detecting the watermark bindly.GA is used to search the best embedding order sequence according to which the watermark with standard normal distribution will be inserted into the discrete cosine transform(DCT)coefficients of the subimages.The crossover and mutation operators are modified to improve the search ability of GA and increase the robustness of watermarking method.Compared with previous works,the GA-based algorithm a;pparently preserves superior robustness under various attacks.
