The Cost and Efficacy Analysis of PACS in Community Health Service Center

The qualitative and quantitative research methods was applied to research on picture archiving and communication systems (PACS)'s cost,effectiveness and efficacy. The results showed that PACS optimized the service procedure. The average time of imaging is 10 minutes which is 20 minutes less than control group. Appling PACS improve the economic efficacy. The average cost of every film is 29.91 yuan after using PACS and 39.03 yuan in control center. The service quality was also improved after using PACS system.
