The Application and Research of Error-Resilient in Image Coding

Based on research on image error-resilient coding,we develop an error-resilient algorithm based on SBC(Sub-band Bit-plane Coding). To solve the problem of the trace on the edge of every sub-figure blocks when rebuilding original figure,we adopted the image-uncorrelated rate-distortion optimization method and the virtual block algorithm based on SBC.Compared with the conventional algorithm,we have found that our error-resilient algorithm is better in 1.0-1.5 dB in PSNR on the condition of the same BER(bit error rate) or the same compression times.
